Coolray is seeking a Lead HVAC Academy Instructor to lead the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for both new and experienced service technicians. This individual will play a critical role in building technical excellence and operational consistency across all field teams. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a deep understanding of HVAC systems and training methodologies, or a tenured educator with a mastery of adult learning principles

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement training curriculum for entry-level and experienced HVAC service technicians, focusing on technical skills, communication, safety procedures, & customer service.

· Facilitate hands-on and classroom instruction at the Coolray HVAC Academy

· Assess training needs in collaboration with field leadership to ensure training initiatives align with business goals and performance gaps.

· Monitor technician progress, provide feedback and mentorship, and adjust instructional methods based on performance and feedback.

· Maintain training materials and equipment, ensuring all tools and systems are current, functional, and aligned with the latest industry standards and technologies.

· Collaborate with leadership to support technician onboarding, ongoing education, certification preparation, and career development pathways.

· Track and report training outcomes through measurable KPIs.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician; training or leadership experience preferred

· Minimum of 10 years experience as an educator for non-HVAC technicians

· NATE Certification (Required only with HVAC experience)

· Proven ability to train and coach individuals with diverse learning styles and technical abilities

· Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills

· Ability to travel locally to support training at all Coolray locations
